Warp Visuals started its collaboration with Marius Gjersø in 2016, both with his solo work, and with his involvement in NEED Music. For this project, Marius along with fellow musicians Are Rosseland and Peder Simonsen, wanted to create a concert for pupils in collaboration with "Den Kulturelle Skolesekken", a Norwegian state-funded program for the advancement of arts at Norwegian public schools.
The concert showed that music can exist in everything around us, in our daily life: from urban areas, nature, playing football, badminton... everywhere! For this song, we went for a ”dreamy” look. We shot Marius in his music study, did some rotoscope work, and simulated particles triggered from the music.
The concert featured live sampling, sequencing and live instruments. The musicians triggered all the visuals themselves from within Ableton Live using EboSuite.
